Clenchwarton Saint Margaret's Church

Clenchwarton Saint Margaret's Church, It was a pleasure to be given the keys to look around this beautiful church, there are things in this church that many other churches lack. From entering for me via and shot walk at the back of a tree lines path from the reverend's house, to wandering around the building, I was amazed by its beauty, on entering I found a church set up for worship. This church was ready, it had decanters with sacramental or communion wine, and candles to burn, the place shows the surname of one J. W. Girdlestone Plumber family, these had roots in nearby Terrington St Clement and are listed on a lead seal by the back inside door, along with that of one James Clements Churchwarden dated 1840. Clenchwarton Saint Margaret's Church, near King's Lynn, has a square west tower, 5 bells, nave, chancel and south porch. Mainly in the Perpendicular style throughout. Most of the internal fittings are modern, also the stained glass in the windows.  Clenchwarton Saint Margarets has a lovely old Jacobean pulpit, an Elizabethan table and a chancel that weeps slightly to the north.
