Placed near Norwich and the Colney Global Diagnostics building, Colney Saint Andrew Church has a round tower, 2 bells, nave, chancel and south porch. This was locked on calling, an address given with no postcode, and the telephone rung, but no answer. Another wasted trip,  The tower is Saxon-Norman, the top Early English; the rest mainly in the Decorated style. Though the east window is Perpendicular. There are memorial tablets to Scott, Gibson and Browne families, and a tomb also to William Tomson who died in 1575. Cautley wrote that the church has: round west tower, south porch, nave and chancel. The round tower is probably pre-Conquest, as it has double splayed windows, now blocked up (shown) A very nice 15th century octagonal font with panelled bowl, having the Evangelists emblems and a rood on east. Coved and carved corona and panelled and ornamented shaft. Modern roofs and fittings. churchesofnorfolk.com by The Old Boi
