Didlington Saint Mary's Church, A beautiful Church with some overgrown parts. DIDLINGTON COLVESTON,  Remains of Church of Saint.Mary, down a little private lane turning right after following signs for Didlington flower nursery.  It still is a church, not so much ruins, its been saved before disappearing. with its west tower, south porch. nave north and south aisles, and chancel. 14th century north arcades, and 15th century tie beamed roof inner. The font is a 13th century bowl on a later 15th century pedestal it has arms of Victoria and a nice 13th century piscina.  Didlington Saint Mary's Church, fragmentary remains of church. Probably Medieval. Probably flint. Only footings remain which were totally overgrown at time of Historic Churches survey. The church open in Cautley's time was said to have a west tower, south porch, nave, north and south aisles and chancel. The church stands in the middle of a great park. The 14th century tower and low side window on south. Early 14th century north arcade and 15th century south arcade with two-light clerestory windows. The nave roof is an arch-braced cambered tie-beam construction. It has a 13th century bowl to font on a 15th century traceried shaft, and a few old benches in north aisle with traceried and pierced backs. Nice cusped and traceried late 13th century piscina and the arms of Victoria carved in stone.
