East Barsham, All Saints Church, (Walsingham), 2018 Being re-roofed. the church locked, H.Munro Cautley FSA., ARIBA wrote of this church, North West tower, and nave, The foundations of a S transept and chancel are still visible. There is a Norman S. Doorway and a 14th century window above, now both blocked up. The 13th century tower has only the first stage left and the entrance is by the north door of same.I think the roof is the plainest I have ever seen, match-boarded up to the ridge with an iron collar bar. Simple old bench ends with poppy heads. Fragments of Saint Anne in alabaster on the chancel window sill. A large monument to a Mary Calthorpe 1640. East Barsham, All Saints Church, (Walsingham), The base of the tower only, now used as porch, a turret with 1 bell, nave chancel and north porch. The walls are 13th century and 14th century, but most of the windows Perpendicular. there is a fine monument erected by James Calthorpe to his wife, daughter of Robert Brooke, Alderman of London, died 1640, and to four of their children, 1627-37.
