Emneth Saint Edmunds Church, West tower, south porch, nave, north and south aisles, and chancel, Good 15th century tower and inside the tower arch has carved Angel caps. Sanctus bell turret over chancel arch. The 15th century arcades incorporate shaft going up to roof, which is a typical one with the Apostles and other figures carved in the wall posts. The angels on roof bear mass emblems. Simple arch-braced roof to aisles. At the west of nave is the stone matrix of a brass no less than 11' long. The matrix is deeply cut, the sign of an early brass. Simple 15th century font and some good 15th century glass in the north aisle. Plain traceried screen that formerly had carving on both sides, but the lower panels have lost their painting. A fine alter tomb to Sir Thomas Hewar 1631, executed by Nicholas Stone, with their infant son in a niche at their feet. The chancel is 13th century and has good arches and a fine east triplet window. North of chancel is a sacristy with upper room. The church also has a Stuart table.
