Pulham Market Saint Mary Magdalene Church, west tower, north porch, nave south and north aisles and chancel. 15th century tower, with diagonal buttresses and canopied niches on either side of west window, with their mutilated ancient figures still in them. North porch at end of north aisles, flush panelled and with three niches and parvise above. Inside the north arcade is 15th century and the south arcade is 14th century, with curious concave bases to the clustered and peculiar finish to cap at Western end. Arch-braced roofs to nave with collar and coloured canopy of honour to the rood.The 15th century north aisle roof is arch-braced with traceried spandrils, but the south aisle is plainer with angels under intermediate principals. Banner stave locker and a few old benches in nave. Commonly called Pulham Market, near Harleston, Pulham Market Saint Mary Magdalene Church has restored paintings to the eastern most bay, and round and above the chancel arch is a fine modern painting of the Ascension, executed in 1895. There are several memorials, one to Thomas Claxton, 1681, another to Thomas Palgrave, 1726. Others to the Rosier, Stanhawe, Cole, Roope and Page families. There is a recess in the wall, near the south door for the processional cross (the stave locker). The organ is built of constructed by Norman & Beard Ltd of London.
