Salthouse, Saint Nicholas Church,
Salthouse Saint Nicholas Church, not to be mistaken for Salhouse nr Wroxham in Norfolk. Salthouse is one of a few churches known as The Weybourne Group of Parishes on the North Norfolk Coast. Situated on top of a hill with fantastic views of sea and heath. This 15th century church is built on the same site as another earlier church, the 13th century tower remains. In the churchyard is a ruined chapel, the church itself has a high elegant oak arch-braced roof, It has a 15th century octagonal lion font with carved panels, there is also a remains of a painted rood screen dating back to 1513, defaced during the Reformation. There is also graffiti dating back to the 16th century on choir stalls and screens showing signs of ships.
