Sharrington, All Saints Church, Sharrington, once called Scarnetuna, "Muddy Place" with a 14th century tower that now serves as both a bell resonator and also porch, this church is one of a few churches in Norfolk without a south porch entrance, it has only one bell where four were once, it is inscribed by its maker a Norwich founder Tho Newman made mee 1715. Once inside this church is beautiful, it has an octagonal font, and beautiful rood screen, in need of restoration, but in authentic Norfolk look single cussing. Sharrington, All Saints Church, near Melton Constable, square west tower, 1 bell, nave and chancel. The base of the tower forms the porch. This church is a mixture of all three periods of Gothic. The north and south aisles were removed many years ago. There are many fine brasses, one to John Botolff, died 1486, another to John Sharington, died 1498. Also one to Christopher Daubeney, his wife and eight children, dated 1587, and another to Thomas Dawbeney, dated 1527. There are some ancient carved benches remaining.
