Smallburgh Saint Peters Church, a delightful property to visit, it has rood screen, ornate ceilings, chairs, octagonal font on an octagonal base, rood stairs, pulpit. Smallburgh and three others share the same Benefice, the other's being Dilham, Honing and Crostwight. they are all close by! Smallburghs tower fell in 1677, taking with it part of the west bay of the nave. this was not replaced until 1902 when the bell-cote was added. Saint Peter's has one of the most ornate and beautiful of all the churches of Norfolk. Smallburgh, Saint Peter Church, western bell turret, 2 bells, nave, chancel and south porch. The style is mainly Perpendicular throughout, the base of the rood screen remains with original colour and eight panels of saints, much defaced, the screen is unusual, in that the back of panels are diapered. There is a Stuart table and a piscina with cusped ogee arch and with pierced quatrefoils to spandrils. The 15th century font and an iron-bound chest are of the same period. Mr Walter Tapper of London was the architect. There is a memorial to Richard Oram, by sculptor Thomas Rawlins.
