Tharston Saint Marys Church, Unusual in the fact that this is a north porch church, Tharston Saint Marys Church has a 15th century flint flushwork on its entrance facade. There are black cut flints set into two tiers of stone panels. Though most of the church pews have been replaced in 1864, three remain. On one side one suggestion of seated figure figure of a man with a crown on his head is that of Christ as a Prophet (Book), Priest (Crozier) and a King (Crown). Another a crowned Virgin Mary with angel on either side, as the Queen of Heaven, lastly on the opposite side Saint Michael is shown weighing a soul. A small naked figure, against the devil on the other side of the scales. The church includes a lion font. This typical of Norfolk and also Suffolk designs.
