Topcroft Saint Margaret Church, west tower, south porch, nave and chancel. Round tower, 15th century font, 14th century arcade, no clerestory, but a Arms of George I. Near Bungay,
Messent and Topcroft Saint Margaret Church, with its west tower, round at the base and octagonal for three quarters, 3 bells, nave with south aisle but no clerestory, chancel and south porch. The base of the tower is Norman with a Perpendicular window inserted. The middle two storeys are Early English, and the top storey Perpendicular. The rest of the church is a mixture of Decorated and Perpendicular, partly rebuilt in 1712 and again much renovated in 1861 and 1877. There are memorials to Smyth, Cooke, Frost and Wilton Families, Cautley. There is a brass plaque for Albert William Clarke, rector of this church given by his wife to act as a reminder that electric was fitted by her. Much repaired, and hence mostly octagonal, Pevsners words for this churches round tower.
