Whitwell, Saint Michael's Church, Whitwell is one of three churches that were once in one graveyard at Reepham. The three different villages all amalgamated into one, Two of Reepham's neighbours set up shop in Reephams graveyard, both Saint Michael's Whitwell and Saint Mary's Reepham still survive, they date from around 1300, both have had restoration, Whitwell as late as a few years ago. Whitwell Saint Michael's Church in Reepham, has a west tower, South porch, nave and chancel. This church stands in the same churchyard as Reepham Church. Munro Cautley wrote: There is not much of interest, but a good late 14th century tower, a nave with curious moulded piers projecting from walls with re-entrant cove to them, and a very fine Jacobean pulpit with backboard and canopy. square west tower, a clock and 6 bells, nave, chancel and south porch. The tower is Decorated, but the rest of the church is mainly Perpendicular. The clock in the tower has only an hour hand, similar to the one at Saxlingham Nethergate, There is a memorial in the chancel to Dr Messenger Monsey, died 1788.

The third church was mostly destroyed in the Great Fire of Reepham in 1543 and was later demolished, only the small wall stands on the site today.
